The Dart 18 Trailer Storage Box was requested by the client as an easy means of storing and transporting sailing equipment, during the sailing season. The client’s specifications were:

The boxes dimensions still easily allow the boat to be loaded on to the trailer

The minimum length the box could be was 2.4m

The box had to be corrosion resistant and weatherproof

The box to include passive ventilation to prevent condensation

The lid of the box needed to be actuated with gas struts or similar

After an initial consultation to determine these points and develop some initial concepts. A bronze level package was selected, and Twenty20 Engineering was able to produce a full technical drawing pack within a week, of the project being awarded.
