Our established methodology and documentation allow us to tackle any problem large or small, to develop a unique solution for our client’s design. We ensure that we communicate our progress to you at regular intervals to ensure we are working to your timeline.
We want your Twenty20 journey to flow smoothly from problem identification to manufacture. Twenty20 has a wide variety of services which can be accessed individually or completely to suit your needs. Depending on budget, time constraints or complexity of what is required.

CAD
Twenty 20 Engineering uses the powerful computer aided design package SolidWorks to rapidly generate and develop a fully functioning 3D working model of the design. Whether this is a single component or complex assembly.
SolidWorks is a parametric design tool used by engineers and designers over many vastly different industries and organisations. We can use it to design and test a single component you need in an existing assembly, or model from the ground up a completely new complex assembly. This software is ideally suited to us, as it provides the flexibility we do to our clients.
Using SolidWorks has the added benefit for other aspects of the Twenty20 Engineering journey, such as our Mechanical Analysis or 3D printing



Mechanical Analysis
Twenty20 Engineering ensures the design will meet the specified requirements by using hand calculations and FEA within SolidWorks. Enabling you to be confident the designs performance will exceed your expectations.
Using expert mechanical engineering and manufacturing knowledge we are able make informed design choices, when creating our clients designs. We ensure that our client’s design meets the necessary industry standards and operates safely.
We perform rigorous, hand calculations to understand how the design is expected to operate, this gives us a valuable insight before using the simulation package from SolidWorks. We use the Simulation package of SolidWorks to validate and compare to our hand calculations, to be sure the design is feasible.
This enables us to be confident the design will operate as expected during prototyping and testing.

Technical Drawings
Once the design is approved, detailed accurate technical drawings can be produced from the 3D model. From the smallest component to large complex assemblies we will ensure that our detailed drawings easily communicate what is required for manufacture.
Twenty20 will seek your approval of the technical drawings contained within the pack, to ensure that you are 100% confident the design will meet your requirements.
At our clients request we can take these drawings forward to our network of trusted, specialised manufacturers to begin the manufacture and assembly processes, or in some cases this may be the natural conclusion of the project.



3D Printing, Prototyping and Testing
Twenty20 Engineering can provide rapid prototyping of components and assemblies using its in house 3D printer. We are able to accurately prototype in PLA and ABS materials, to ensure the form, fit and function of designs components will work together or with existing assemblies. For complex plastic components with small “batch” volumes we may recommend this as a method of manufacture.
Depending on the complexity of our clients design we may produce a fully functioning prototype for more in depth analysis and testing. This will be carried out to confirm the Mechanical Analysis already undertaken. We ensure that all of boxes have been ticked to prove the safety of the design, before our clients take delivery of any manufactured items.
As always Twenty20 Engineering will communicate this as part of the design’s documentation and project reporting.

Manufacture and Assembly
Using our trusted network of precision manufacturers, who specialise in a variety of materials, we are able to manufacture your design. We ensure that our precision manufacturers operate to the very high standard, which you expect. We have worked hard to create a collaborative environment in which to take forward our clients designs to the next stage.
Twenty20 Engineering will ensure that everything from the small component to the large complex assemblies are manufactured to a high standard, ensuring smooth assembly of the final design. Where necessary we have the tools to successfully project manage the delivery of the completed final design.



Delivery
Twenty20 will take delivery on your behalf, in order to provide a complete check against the design documentation and that it meets our high standards before delivery to you.
Twenty20 Engineering doesn’t see this as the end of our relationship with our clients, but rather the start of new phase. We will provide on going support through out the designs lifetime, to ensure that the design will meet our clients operational demands.
